Mindfulness is a term tossed around today without mindfulness. It brings images of a practitioner sitting on a cushion blocking out the world and thinking of nothing. In reality, it is the complete opposite; it is about being open to unlimited possibility and creating a bright future for all beings. Let’s look at the practice and purpose of mindfulness from the perspective of Buddhism and begin to understand the deeper meaning behind this practice.
